The Fibreshed Project, founded by Rebecca Burgess, is an international network committed to localized regenerative fibre based practices with soil to soil considerations. Since 2010 scientists, farmers, material producers, and artists have been sharing their knowledge to rebuild manufacturing at a regional level. Creating systems that emphasize the importance of soil carbon sequestration and fostering understanding of the relationships we have to the land we inhabit, and to the fibres we encounter in day to day life. Fibreshed communities exist across the globe, working within their regional specificities and realities. I was a part of the regeneration cohort of the Fibreshed Fieldschool Experiential Mentorship Program in 2020. Mentored by the founder Rebecca Burgess, as well as Morningstar Wollen Farms, Valerie D. Walker and Tasha Nathanson. We focused on regenerative agriculture. Our cohort involved natural dye techniques, biodegradability, bio-economies, and public education. Utilizing public education, grassroots activism and tactile engagement to facilitate change.

Individually we also worked on our publication submissions, process books along with other deliverables related to finances and local economies.
